Wilmington

Well my stay in Wilmington is over and it's almost hard to leave this place. Yesterday I spent most of the day with my wonderful house mate host Julie. She took me to the bike shop where this awesome tech Brendan hooked me up once again. I had broke a spoke and he replaced it, trued my wheel, tuned up my bike and cleaned the chain for free. And did this all right on the spot I almost felt like VIP for a minute. I think people respect the journey and the person to take on that journey, admire it and are excited to help out and be a part of it in anyway.

So then Julie took me to wilmingtons best burrito joint called flaming Amy's where I had a burrito with shrimp and tuna, banging. Then on to the voted #2 best donught in the nation, britts in Carolina beach, also banging. Then back to the apt fir some tv and naptime.

We went to a young peoples meeting at 7:00 close by and Sara was chairing, the girl I met at icypaa. It was good the topic was humility. People here at the meetings are dead serious about their program not as hardcore as NYC but more intense then Philly.

I met tons of great people and we went out to another classic Wilmington restaurant after the meeting. By then some people heard about me and were aproaching me about the trip. I still cant believe that im the person other people are talking about in a good way. Its really cool! Rachid was a cool dude who ride to the meeting on his mophed! We talked for a bit and then he and his fiancé invited me and Sara to go to his storage yard to hang out in their 1990 school bus converted to a mobil party wagon. It was so cool and I learned school buses only cost 2500$!!! I want one and we also took it out for a spin, it had hardwood floors, couches, beds, tv it was so cool! They drove it cross country to the international cinvention I San Antonio loaded up with people.

So I came home slept good and now I'm packing up ready to ride the 75 to Myrtle beach.

I found a place to stay in charleston and savanah using couch surfing so I'm excited for that but today it's Myrtle beach

  2. You're the kind of person who can slip into people's lives and it's like you've always been there. Hope you make another visit to Wilmington someday.
